2025 Provincial Tournament Application Information

3A & 4A Provincial Tournament Application

NLBOC is now accepting applications from officials interested in being considered for the SSNL 3A and 4A Provincial Championships.

Tournament Dates & Locations

March 5–8, 2026

March 12–15, 2026

Expectations

Each tournament will have a Referee Coach assigned to provide feedback.
Officials selected are expected to be available for the full tournament and only referee the tournament to which they are assigned.
These tournaments provide as much value as the official is willing to take from them. Feedback will be provided and is expected to be applied throughout the tournament.
All eligible officials are encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria

Selections will be made based on multiple factors, including but not limited to:

NOCP Certification Level

Officials actively investing in their education and development will be given consideration.

Experience

Officials with 3-Person Officiating (3PO) experience will be given preference for 4A championships.
3A championships will include both 2PO and 3PO assignments.

Availability & Commitment
Officials must be available for and participate in all facets of the tournament. Officials are expected to know and understand the FIBA Rules

Professional Standing
Officials not in good standing with their local branch, NLBOC, and/or NLBA/CBOC will not be considered.

Progression & Development
Officials seeking feedback opportunities and demonstrating a desire to improve in alignment with CBOC and FIBA standards are encouraged to apply.

Additional Considerations

Preference will be given to officials who have written the current season FIBA rules exam.
Preference will also be given to officials who upload an officiating résumé with their application.
