Metro Ladies Basketball League (MLBL)

Metro Ladies Basketball League (MLBL) - The Metro Ladies Basketball League, formerly known as Ladies Division II, is a competitive ladies basketball league operating in the St. John's metro area and is open to all players, with the exception of Varsity Players, Division 1 Ladies League and High School / Club Teams.  The league typically consisting of 12-14 teams per season. Season runs from October to April each year, with all games played at the PowerPlex Facility and at Waterford Valley High School.

St. John’s Division One Ladies Basketball League

The St. John’s Division One Ladies Basketball League is a competitive women’s basketball league made up of four to six teams per season. The league usually runs from mid-October until mid-April with games being played Thursday evenings and Tuesday nights at the PowerPlex. Filipino Newfoundlanders Basketball Association

We, members of Filipino Newfoundlanders Basketball League Inc., a non-profit organization registered in the province of Newfound land and Labrador. Our organization mission is to connect Filipinos, Newfoundlanders and other nationality in Newfoundland through basketball. Our goal is to bring families, players and volunteers together and UNITE as one community.  Moving to a new country can be a life-changing experience. Though every country can be different, new

migrants go through quite similar experiences. Our organization helps new Filipinos comers to feel welcome when they arrived here in our beautiful province Newfoundland and Labrador. Interacting, meeting and connecting with new comers help alleviate their homesickness being away from their families and home. It also promotes healthy life style by being active, playing the sport that we all love, basketball.

Geezers Basketball

Geezers Basketball has been playing at various venues throughout the city for over 30 plus years and consists of a small roster of mostly older players playing recreational games twice weekly. The season starts in early September through the following May and breaks during the summer months. The goal of our recreational games is to focus on fun and physical activity for all players.

Grand Falls Windsor Donnini's Basketball League

Is a League made up of 3 or 4 teams and the teams get made in September and League finishes in March. There is 22 game regular season then we move on to the playoffs which is best 2 out of 3 semifinals then the finals which is also best 2 out of 3.

Metro Men's Basketball League

Metro Men’s Basketball League is open to individuals 35 yrs old and over interested in playing basketball. We implement a unique draft system with a limited number of protected players. Typically, we have 6 teams play twice a week 25/30 games per season plus playoffs.

St. John’s Amateur Basketball Association (SJABA)

The St. John’s Amateur Basketball Association (SJABA), operated by its executive members, provides local teams with two seasons each year. Compromised of multiple divisions, the SJABA accommodates athletes of a variety of skill ranges. This Fall, the league saw further growth with 55 registered teams, and over 400 players. The mission of the SJABA is to offer fair, competitive, organized basketball to all involved.
